Gunmen have killed a policeman and injured two persons while setting a police vehicle ablaze at the Ezeiweka area of Onitsha, Anambra State.
Anambra State Police Command on Monday said it has intensified surveillance within the Onitsha axis to arrest perpetrators of the attack.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, Tochukwu Ikenga said that about half-past nine on Sunday morning, the attackers who drove ash-colored Sienna, started shooting at the patrol vehicle along Ukegbu junction, Ezeiweka road.
In a bid to escape the police responding team, the hoodlums set the patrol vehicle ablaze.
