Appeal Court President, Justice Monica Dongban-Mensen controlling traffic in Abuja.
The President Court of Appeal, Justice Monica Dongban-Mensen, has called for enforcement of laws and the stiffer penalty for violators of road safety laws as part of measures to reducing road crashes in Nigeria.
Justice Dongban-Mensen made the call at the 10th years anniversary of Kwapda’as Road Safety Demand Foundation, KRSD.
She said many road crashes are attributed to recklessness by the road users which many people get away with without being punished for their recklessness.
Justice Dongban-Mensen who is also the founder of Kwapda’as Road Safety Demand Foundation called for punishment for any road users that caused road crashes.
The event had in attendance the Minister of FCT, Mallam Muhammadu Bello, Minister of Transportation, Chairman Nigeria Governors Forum and Governor of Ekiti State Dr. Kayode Fayemi, governor of Plateau State Simon Lanlong, Governor of Kebbi State, Alhaji Atiku Bagudu, and others.
