Defending champions Nigeria’s D’Tigeress have picked up one of the slots for the semi-final 2021 Afrobasket Championship.
Nigeria’s D’Tigeress kept hopes of picking the title again beating Côte d’Ivoire 72-56 in a the quarterfinals match played today.
The Nigerian ladies who are taking the game one at a time, won the first two quarters 24-8, 19-13 going into the first half break with a 22 points lead.
They won the third quarter 16-14 but Côte d’Ivoire out-shoots Nigeria in the 4th quarter 21-14 to reduce the deficit to 16 points.
D’Tigress will on Friday face the winner between Mozambique and Senegal for a place in the final of the tournament holding in Cameroon.
