Nigeria has recorded additional 19 deaths from the coronavirus pandemic, raising the nation’s total fatality from the disease to 2,720.
NCDC however, noted that the latest casualties included backlogs of 10 deaths from Delta State between 19 August and 24 September.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC made the announcement on its official Facebook page on Thursday night.
NCDC noted that a total of 281 fresh cases were confirmed across 12 states of the federation and FCT.
The centre also revealed that the total infection from the pandemic currently stands at 205,765.
While a total of 193,617 Nigerians have been discharged nationwide.
The 281 new cases are reported from 13 states- FCT (111), Lagos (34), Edo (33), Kwara (20), Plateau (20) and Rivers (17).
others are: Abia (10), Imo (8), Delta (7), Nasarawa (7), Ekiti (6), Akwa Ibom (3), and Oyo (2)
