Criticisms of PMB’s achievements by opposition unfair – PGF DG

DG PGF, Dr Salihu Lukman

The Director-General, Progressives Governors’ Forum, PGF, Dr. Salihu Lukman, has described as unfair, criticisms by the opposition political parties on the achievements of the Buhari-led administration and the All Progressives Congress APC.

Dr. Lukman said in a statement that the opposition were merely taking advantage of the passive communication by the APC to achieve their aim of poisoning the minds of some innocent citizens on the performance of the government.

He explained that since 2015, the Federal Government had rolled out several initiatives to deliver on APC campaign promises targeted at strengthening Nigeria’s public service institutions and other committed efforts in addressing insecurity across the board.

The APC Chieftain reminded the opposition that the administration was succeeding in addressing insecurity and committed to the fight against corruption, leading to massive recoveries and high-profile prosecution of suspects.

While acknowledging that the challenge of insecurity in parts of the country had gradually increased in the past few years, it was not fair to blame the current administration as being the architect of the situation.

He advised that instead of wasting time on unobjective criticisms, the opposition should support efforts to a better lot of the country, stressing that every citizen had a stake in the Nigerian project.
