The Federal Fire Service has inaugurated the maiden training on Command and Leadership for its top management staff in Akure, Ondo state.
In a Statement, the Controller General, Federal Fire Service, Dr. Liman Ibrahim, says the training is aimed at equipping the top senior staff of the Service, with multi-dimensional management skills for managerial performance on the job, with the skills in handling management of fire safety and other related emergencies.
Dr. Ibrahim says the training focuses on enabling the participants to knowing the roles and responsibilities of fire Chief Officers, some salient areas of the public service rules, the Fire service rules and regulations, as well as major incident management procedures.
He appreciates President Muhammadu Buhari and the Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola for their unflinching support and commitment to scaling the Service to significant growth.
Dr. Ibrahim says the Service under the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari acquired 141 modern firefighting trucks while 59 are ready for delivery next month, with offices in the 36 states of the Federation and the FCT.
