Nigeria records 344 new cases of COVID-19

Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC on Tuesday recorded 344 new cases of COVID-19.

The NCDC disclosed the number of the new cases in an update on the Telegram page.

According to the data, the virus diseases were recorded in nineteen states including the Federal Capital Territory, FCT.

FCT tops the list this time around with 79 new cases followed by Lagos-62 and Rivers-45, Kaduna-33, Plateau-22, Edo-16, Benue-13.

Others are Kano-12, Cross River-11, Delta-11, Anambra-9, Abia-8, Jigawa-7, Bauchi-4, Ekiti-4, Kwara-4, Oyo-2, Akwa Ibom-1, Nasarawa-1

As of Wednesday morning, the total number of COVID-19 infections in the country stands at 206,623.

194,475 have been treated and discharged while 2,731 people have died due to complications from the virus.
