The Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps, NSCDC Imo State Command has arrested a forty five year old man, Simeon Aligwekwe for allegedly defiling an eight year old girl in Umualumaku Ehime Mbano local government area of the state.

Parading the suspect in Owerri, the State Commandant of the Corps Mr. Micheal Ogar said the suspect was caught in the act by his kinsmen who immediately alerted officers of NSCDC.

Mr. Ogar explained that the suspect who had raped the eight year old girl also admitted having canal knowledge of three other minors in the same community.

The suspect who is married with five children told newsmen that he took the girl to his shop and defiled her before he was nabbed.

He admitted to have defiled three minors in his neighbourhood without the knowledge of anyone and prayed for forgiveness as he was lured by the devil.

Similarly, the Command has paraded four persons for allegedly conveying three trucks of suspected adulterated automotive gas oil also known as diesel from Delta to Imo state.

Mr. Ogar said the suspects lifted the product from a private depot in Delta state which deals on adulterated petroleum products but were intercepted in Owerri after presenting forged documents.

He noted that the command had reduced oil bunkering in the state to the barest and vowed to end the activities of the economic saboteurs in the area.

One of the suspects and a driver Peter Ohwofosa from Delta State claimed that the product he was conveying was genuine as it was loaded from a known private depot.
