2nd Niger Bridge to be completed soon—PMB

President Muhammadu Buhari says the 11.9-kilometre 2nd Niger Bridge in the Southeast will be completed within the 2nd term of his administration.

Also to be completed within the period is the 120-kilometre Lagos-Ibadan Expressway and other key projects under the Presidential Infrastructure Development Fund (PIDF).

The President made the declaration at the opening of a two-day Mid-Term Ministerial Performance Review Retreat to assess the progress made towards the achievement of the 9 key priorities of the administration.

According to him, the administration was growing the stock and quality of the road, rail, air, and water transport infrastructure, adding that the PIDF projects are also advancing remarkably.

President Buhari noted that his administration had made tremendous progress on railway projects in the country, noting that upgrading of the railway network is being extended with the recent completion of the Lagos–Ibadan line.

The President unveiled the Presidential Priorities Performance Management System, which he said provides him the opportunity to track projects in real-time with live data, and expressed delight over the reports of Ministers for the past 2 years showing the achievements in their ministerial mandates
