The National Commission for Refugees, Migrants and Internally Displaced Persons is to partner the National Information Technology Development Agency NITDA to train ten thousand Persons of Concern on Information and Communications Technology ICT.
This is coming after a meeting in Abuja between the Director-General of NITDA, Malam Inuwa Abdullahi and the Federal Commissioner, National Commission for Refugees, Migrants and Internally Displaced Persons Hajiya Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim.
Hajiya Imaan said, she was at the agency to strengthen collaboration and enlist the Director-General’s support in areas of ICT training that will uplift and empower Persons of Concern in the country.
She added that there is a need to adopt a Smart approach as proper data management for a comprehensive discharge of the commission’s mandate.
On his part, the Director-General said “NITDA is ready to partner the Commission and render all the necessary support and assistance in the proper discharge of its mandate.”
“We have a digital transformation working group for such partnership and training. We will set up a team that will work with your team and look for the training needed by the Commission’s staff and Persons of Concern”.
