Founder of Citadel Global Community Church (CGCC), Pastor Tunde Bakare has expressed displeasure over the ongoing agitation for power shift by some socio-political groups in the country.
Pastor Bakare made this declaration on Friday after a closed door meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari in Abuja.
The clergy warned that power shift-based on primordial sentiments was not good for the country.
He said Nigerians should instead concentrate wholly on competence when electing the next President in 2023.
According to him, the region or any part of the country from which contestants come from does not matter because the country deserves the best President.
Pastor Bakare also called for the immediate restructuring of the country, saying such alteration must not tear the country apart.
He emphasised that Nigerians were better off together as a nation, and called for the re-alignment of efforts to further strengthen the bond.
The Pastor commend the Nigerian Senate for approving the transmission of election results electronically.
