Ogun Kidnappers demand N6m ransom

Ogun State Police Command has dispatched officers of the Anti-Kidnapping Department to Obada Oko area of Abeokuta to complement other security agents to rescue the three abducted church members in the area.

The command spokesman, Mr. Abimbola Oyeyemi while reacting to the incident in Abeokuta, urged the people to desist from holding vigil and religious activities in isolated areas.

He noted that recent abductions in the state were carried out in such environments.

Mr. Oyeyemi also advised those with places of worship in remote areas to inform the police for the extension of patrol to such areas for adequate security.

Three persons were reportedly kidnapped at Cherubim and Seraphim church, Railway Station line in Obada Oko area of Abeokuta during the church programme.

The three abducted persons were members of the Cherubim Church and Light Apostolic Church, in Sonubi village of Obada Oko, Abeokuta.

The Kidnappers have contacted the families of the victims to demand the sum of six million naira for their release.
