The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), says massive gas leakage near Computer Village area of Ikeja, Lagos, has been put under control.
The Public Relations Officer of LASEMA, Mr. Nosa Okunbor, who spoke with Christopher Ekuma, said there was no cause for alarm as the supply to the gas pipeline had been stopped, while emergency responders were on ground to tackle any eventuality.
Mr. Nosa however, called on residents to shun any activity that could ignite naked flame within the area due to the inflammable nature of gas which was already in the air.
Radio Nigeria reports that the news of the gas leakage filtered into the public space earlier today causing panic as many were confused on the actual situation.
