The Emir of Argungu in Kebbi State, Alhaji Sumaila Meta, has turbaned Senate President, Senator Ahmed Lawan as the Ganuwan Kabi.
Also turbaned were the Chief Whip of the Senate, Senator Uzo Orji Kalu as the Kibiyan Kabi and Managing Director of Kaduna Electric Distribution Company, Garba Haruna as the Garkuwan Kabi.
Speaking on behalf of the title holders, Senate President, Senator Ahmed Lawal, thanked the Emir for the honour done to them saying, this would enhance the cordial relationship between the emirate and other part of the country.
The Senate President, promised to bringing more development to the emirate and the people of the emirate.
“As for me, I’m from Bade Emirate in Yobe State and this signifies more cordial relationship between the two emirates”. Lawan noted.

He acknowledged the effort of the Emir of Argungu in drawing every part of the country to participate in his emirate.
The Ganuwan Kabi, prayed for peace and stability of the country.
The Emir of Argungu, Alhaji Samaila Mera, said it was historic in appointment of traditional title holders to people from other parts of the country which has been a practice of the emirate.
He said, the appointment of title to the holders will promote understanding among Nigerians.
National Assembly members, State Governors, Emirs, top Government dignitaries from both Federal and States, Business and local Communities were in attendance at the turbaning at the palace of Emir of Argungu.
