Medical doctors in Kwara State Government hospitals have suspended their seven-day warning strike due to poor conditions of service and remuneration.
The Chairman of the National Association of Government General Medical and Dental Practitioners, Dr Saka Agboola, stated this after an emergency congress by members of the union in Ilorin, the state capital.
He said the doctors decided to suspend the strike due to the favourable disposition of the state government to negotiate with them.
He said the union also acknowledged the suffering patients went through during the period of the warning strike.
Dr Agboola denied insinuations that the union was intimated about suspending the strike.
