Analysts speak on Anambra election

Political Affairs Analyst and Senior Lecturer and Political Science Department, University of Abuja, Dr. Ernest Ereke says the Political class in the South East should be commended for intervening over the sit-at-home order by the Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB) targeted at the Anambra election.

Dr.Ereke while speaking on Radio Nigeria Programme, “Mandate Studio” on Radio Nigeria network, also commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for owning up to the challenges encountered during the polls and software glitches.

The political affairs analyst also noted that the successful conduct of the election so far indicates that there will be little or no litigations after the election.

On the programme, Head of Communications, Centre for Democracy and Development, Mr Bankole Adesina describing the election says “Democracy has won”, despite reported cases of of voter apathy.

Mr Adesina emphasised that dialogue was key for the aftermath of the elections to ensure peace and sustainable development in Anambra.
