The Administration of Criminal Justice Monitoring Committee says it will ensure compliance with the provisions of the Administration of Criminal Justice Act (ACJA).
Chairman of the Committee, Justice Husseini Baba-Yusuf stated this at the first Annual Conference of the Committee in Abuja.
Represented by Justice Josephine Obanor, he said effective implementation and application of the act would strengthen the criminal justice system.
“A mechanism by which the implementation of the provisions of the act would be closely monitored to ensure compliance and uniformity of application by all relevant stakeholders.”
Secretary of the Committee, Mr Sulayman Dawodu advocated capacity building for judicial officers and legislative reforms for speedy dispensation of justice.
