A gas explosion in Lagos has reportedly left many dead and several others injured.
Others were reportedly hurt amid a stampede as people attempted to flee.
The blast occurred near the Ladipo market about 8:00 am on Tuesday.
A spokesman for the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Ibrahim Farinloye said the bodies of 4 adults have been recovered. They included three men and a woman identified as Mama Funmi.
A 10-year-old boy died on the way to the hospital.
Mr Farinloye said the incidental fire outbreak had already been put out, even as emergency workers were making effort to recover more bodies.
