President Muhammadu Buhari has adopted the decision of the Progressive Governors’ Forum for the party to conduct its convention in February 2022.
Chairman of the party’s Caretaker Committee and Governor of Yobe State, Alhaji Mai Mala Buni made the announcement to newsmen in Abuja after he led some APC governors into a meeting with the President.
Alhaji Buni said four states controlled by the ruling party were yet to conduct congresses, but that the wider consultations made prompted the decision to hold the convention in February.
Governor Buni said he expected a fully-attended, peaceful, and most successful convention.
