Minister charges Army to end insecurity

The Minister of Defence, Major Gen Bashir Salihi Magashi (rtd) has called on the troops in the various theater of operations in parts of the country to decisively end insecurity across the country.

General Magashi stated at the graduation ceremony of the Course 5 Participants of the Army War College, Nigeria.

The Minister of Defence who was represented as Special guest of honour at the ceremony by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Defence, Musa Istifanus said the morals of the troops are high as they continued to exhibit uncommon valours in battles.

He charged them to decimate the criminal elements at various operational locations in the country.

President Muhammadu Buhari will provide needed critical fighting equipment and promised continued support to Operational Level Training which is being conducted in the War Colleges.

The Defence Minister therefore acknowledged the impressive performance and the relevance of the Army War College in addressing the plethora of security challenges bedeviling the country.

The Commandant, Army War College, Major General Soloman Udounwa said the sixty three graduands drawn from the Tri-Services, Paramilitary and friendly countries have been found worthy in learning and character.

The Commandant conferred the Award of Fellow of the Army War College on graduands and charged them to remain good Ambassadors of the College, established in 2017.

The representative of the guest of honour, Musa Istifanus was supported by the Chief of Army Staff Lt Gen Farouk Yahaya and the representatives of other Service Chiefs to present awards to the outstanding graduands.
