New Executive Director of Nigerian Export Promotion Council, NEPC, Dr Ezra Yakusak
The new Executive Director of Nigerian Export Promotion Council, NEPC, Dr Ezra Yakusak has promised to reposition the council for optimal performance on the promotion and export of Nigerian non-oil products.
He stated this in Abuja at a forum, aimed at ensuring quality packaging of the nation’s non-oil products for export.
Dr Yakusak said the capacity of exporters of non-oil products would be enhanced to enable them compete favorably in the international market.
NEPC Executive Director described delay in export of products as one of the factors hindering the growth of economy.
Dr Yakusak explained said the existing programmes on quality products development would be sustained to ensure national economic development.
Executive Director therefore solicited the support of staff of the council and other stakeholders to enable him succeed in his developmental programmes for NEPC and the sector generally.
He promised to give priority to staff welfare and training for improved productivity.
While advising the staff against any act of corruption, Dr Ezra Yakusak promised to operate open door policy for the overall development of NEPC.
He said no member of staff would be intimidated and urged them to diligent in the discharge of their duties.
