There are at least eight players and five staff members who have contracted COVID-19 at Tottenham Hotspur, according to the club’s manager Antonio Conte.
On Thursday, Tottenham takes on Rennes in the Europa Conference League.
A postponement of the match is prohibited by UEFA regulations unless the team has less than 13 players or no registered goalkeeper.
Conte’s men need a win against the Ligue 1 side to stand a chance of progressing into the last 32.
“The situation makes me very upset because the situation is serious.
“It’s contagious and there is a big infection. Now we are a bit scared because tomorrow we don’t know what will happen,” Conte said.
Tottenham is expected to ask the Premier League to postpone their match against Brighton on Sunday.
