3000 Youths benefit from N-Knowledge programme

About three thousand youths from the North Central States are undergoing training on hardware and software engineering under the N-Knowledge of the National Social Investment Programme, NSIPs in Abuja.

The Chief Executive Officer Human Resources of the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development Mr Kalgo Muazu explained that the training was to equip the beneficiaries with ICT skills that would enable them be self-reliant with commitment from the Federal Government to address unemployment in the country.

Mr Muazu noted that at the end of the programme the beneficiaries would be paid monthly stipends for a period of nine months and would also be given gadgets to start-up businesses.

Conclusively, all the beneficiaries will be enjoying N10,000 each as monthly stipends, for a period of nine months.” He added

One of the beneficiaries from Niger State Maryam Muhammad thanked the Federal Government for the opportunity and promised to maximise the skill acquired.

Another beneficiary from Benue State Agera Christopher said, he has learnt Graphics Design and Photo Editing hopes at the end of the training he can train other youths in his vicinity as a way of giving back to the society

The N-Knowledge is a component of the N-Power Programme focused on equipping young Nigerians with relevant skills and certification to become competent workers, innovators and entrepreneurs prepared for both the domestic and global digital job market.”
