Police in Nasarawa State have confirmed the death of 8 persons after a communal clash between Tiv and Fulani communities in Obi local government area of the state.
A statement by the Public Relations Officer, Nasarawa State Police Command Nansel Ramhan says a combined team of Police and military men have been mobilised to the affected areas to restore calm and fish-out perpetrators of the dastardly act.
The statement adds that Nasarawa State Commissioner of Police, Adesina Soyemi has held meetings with stakeholders from both communities to sheath their swords, ending all hostilities as investigation had commenced to arrest perpetrators of the crisis.
