President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed Deputy Controller General, DCG Samson Karebo as Acting Controller General of the Federal Fire Service, FFS.
At the handing over ceremony in Abuja, DCG Karebo Samson thanked President Buhari for finding him worthy to serve.
He also appreciates the Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola who ensured a smooth transition of the leadership.
In a statement by the Public Relations Officer, of FSS, SF Ugo Huan, the Acting CG promises to ensure that men of the service are well motivated to be at their best in the discharge of their duty.

It states that the new Acting CG calls on officers and men to maintain a high level of discipline assuring them of his maximum support to help them discharge their duties efficiently.
According to the statement, the outgoing Controller General, Dr Liman Ibrahim thank President Muhammadu Buhari for given the opportunity to serve, adding that the current administration of President Buhari has repositioned the Fire Service to a world-class standard.
It adds that he appreciated officers and men of the Service and urged them to give the Acting CG the maximum support to succeed.
Dr Liman who took over on the 3rd of March, 2019 has served as the CG for two years and nine months.
