Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has intervened in the land dispute in Magodo Phase 2 Estate.
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu visited the estate on Tuesday and promised to hold a meeting with them on Wednesday.
Earlier in the day, Magodo residents had staged a protest over the presence of policemen in the estate.
During the protest, the residents converged on the front of the estate, calling on the Lagos State government to intervene.
Earlier in December, some police officers were said to have been accompanied by hoodlums arrived at the estate with bulldozers.
Following the intervention of the Lagos government, the police withdrew and normalcy returned to the estate.
Attorney-General of Lagos, Moyosore Onigbanjo said upon investigation, any person found guilty will be prosecuted.
