Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Major-General Shuaibu Ibrahim has called on the National Assembly to support the establishment of the NYSC Trust Fund to serve as a means of giving corps members start-up capital and packages on the completion of their service year.
Major-General Shuaibu Ibrahim made this known while at a reception in his honour in Abuja as a Major General expressing gratitude to President Muhammadu Buhari for appointing him as Chief Executive of the NYSC.
Nasarawa State Governor, Alhaji Abdullahi Sule commended the DG NYSC for the achievements in the areas of skill acquisitions and entrepreneurship development, reinvigorating the scheme and ensuring comprehensive documentation of NYSC activities and interventions for national development.
In their goodwill messages, the Emir of Keffi, Dr Shehu Yamusa and the member representing Nasarawa Toto Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, Mr Ari Mohammed expressed delight at the numerous achievements by the DG NYSC, which earned him successive promotions up to the rank Major General.
