2023: 57 youth groups endorse VP Osinbajo

A coalition of 57 youths and students groups have resolved to endorse Vice President Yemi Osinbajo should he declare his interest to run for the number one seat in the country next year.

The coalition explained that the decision to come together was part of strategies to make a point that Nigerian youths could not afford to remain indifferent to the nation’s political process and its future.
Presenting a communique after a meeting of the coalition in Abuja, the National Coordinator Mr. Festus Ofume, said Professor Yemi Osinbajo was best qualified for the office of the President, especially with his intellectual accomplishment, empathy for the younger generation, understanding of the economy and his experience in governance with an uncompromised passion to consolidate on the achievements of the present administration.
Mr. Ofume said the meeting held in collaboration with the officials of The Progressive Project, which is the sole coordinating body for scores of existing and upcoming pro-Osinbajo groups across Nigeria, emphasized a firm resolve to mobilize at least five million youths across Nigeria to support Osinbajo if he finally decides to run for the presidency next year.
He said Vice President Osinbajo was the best qualified in terms of practical potential in redressing issues of deep concern such as the rule of law and unemployment which he had consistently demonstrated a deep passion for in addition to impactful economic policies and his roles in the Economic Recovery and Growth Project.
He added that the support followed a nationwide sampling of opinions among the youths and students across the six geo-political zones, with high acceptance by people across the country.
