The Federal Government is to attain full paperless digital governance by the year 2030.
Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Prof Isa Ali Pantami stated this at the e-Governance champions day of the service wide capacity building programme held in Abuja.
Prof Pantami said the e-Government training programme organised by the e-Government Training Centre is poised to prepare civil servants for the digital age.
He said the centre has trained about 1,400 civil servants from 48 Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) in two years while over 110,000 citizens have acquired digital skills through its online digital skill institution.
Director General, National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), Kashifu Abdullahi who is also chairman of coucil of the centre said the civil service is the engine of governance, therefore it’s being repositioned for the digital age.
