A former governor of Zamfara state and contender to the National Chairmanship of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Abdulaziz Yari says he is a dedicated and fully registered party member.
A statement by his Chief of Staff, Alhaji Abdullahi Tsafe, says the campaign of calumny by some aspirants alleging that the former governor has no APC membership card is a fruitless attempt to dent his popularity.
The statement wonders why a two-term governor of a state will be alleged to have no membership card on a platform of a party he worked tirelessly to form and sustain.
According to the statement, party members should be wary of such individuals who are fanning the embers of disaffection at a time the party was working round the clock to foster unity and cohesion.
It assures the APC that his commitment to the unity and electoral victory of the party remains unshaken and will not join issues with anyone whose motive is to breed confusion and destroy the successes recorded by the national leadership of the party.
