Fire destroys property, goods worth millions in Kwara

An early morning inferno has gutted a shopping complex at an event Hall on Kulende junction, zango Area of Ilorin in Kwara state destroying property and goods worth millions of naira .

The fire incident affected four stores, as there are twenty four shops at the shopping complex.

The quick intervention of the Kwara State Fire Service saved the shopping complex from total destruction.

Confirming the incident, Kwara state fire service spokesman, Hassan Adekunle, said the inferno occurred as a result of the careless attitude of an unknown person who deliberately set some abandoned tyres ablaze in the area .

In his remark ,the Director, Kwara State Fire Service, Prince John Falade advised the residents to avoid indiscriminate burning of tyres and bushes.
