Residents of Okeluse Community in Ose Local Government Area of Ondo State have fled the area following an attack on a petrol station in the area by gunmen.
The assault, which took place on Sunday, resulted in the death of the station’s dealer and its attendant.
Reports say the five-man gang stormed the Community on motorcycles around 9 pm on the day.
The dealer, identified as Oladimeji Aborowa, was killed on the spot while the attendant was rushed to the hospital and later died of injuries he sustained.
The residents, said to be in panic during the attack, took to their heels for safety.
The Public Relations Officer of the state police command, Funmilayo Odunlami, confirmed the incident, saying the suspects came to Kidnap the owner of the filling station.
She said a team of policemen and vigilante operatives have begun a manhunt for the assailants.
