COVID-19: NPHCDA urges Nigerians to get vaccinated

The National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA) has urged Nigerians to ensure they take first, second and booster jabs of the COVID-19 Vaccine, in order to be immune against the Virus.

Director, Disease Control and Immunization at the NPHCDA, Dr Bassey Okposen stated this on “Have Your Say”, a Radio Nigeria “Good Governance and Public Accountability Programme.

Dr Okposen, who said the Agency was committed to sensitising Nigerians on the dangers of the disease and the need to be vaccinated, enjoined all citizens to avail themselves at every given opportunity to take the jab.

He also called on the Academic Institutions to make their Clinics functional to serve as vaccination Centres in their respective Schools.

Callers on the Programme, Mr Ode Ode from Abuja urged Government at all levels to support the Media to do more in Advocacy.

Mr Jude Ugbaja and Fidel Onyeneke who also called into the Programme commended the Ministry of Health and its Agencies for their prompt response towards the control of the Covid-19 Pandemic in the country.
