Over 2000 trained on N -Cares capacity building

Over two thousand workers are being trained on capacity building for the implementation of World Bank assisted Nigeria Covid 19 Action Recovery and Economic Stimulus, N – Cares Programne in Nasarawa State.

The state Coordinator of N – Cares Mallam Ibrahim Umar at the opening of the three day event in Lafia said the training was part of World Bank’s requirements to access over eight billion Naira for the take – off of the programme in the state.

He stated that the state government had concluded arrangements for the launch of N – Cares Programne in the state early this year.

According to Mallam Ibrahim Umar, the training would expose the workers who were drawn from the N -Cares implementing agencies to the techniques involved in the implementation of the programme.

General Manager, Nasarawa State Community and Social Development Agency, one of the N -Cares implementing agencies, Mr. Ahmed Saidu stated that the programme was timely considering the socio-economic impacts of pandemic on households.

Some of the participants, Mr Umar Farouk and Miss Ann Tanze noted that the training had equiped them on how to identify key target beneficiaries of N -Cares Programne.
