The Nigerian Women Trade Exhibition, NAWTE has pledged to support ten million women in trade especially at the grassroots through capacity building.
The National Coordinator of Nigerian women Trade Exhibition, Hajiya Sameera Abdullahi made the pledge in Abuja at a Press Conference to flag-off its upcoming Trade exhibition and registration of ten million women traders across the country.
She explained that supporting the livelihood of women at the grassroots, would go a long way in reducing the level of poverty in the country.
The National Coordinator of NAWTE said its representatives from the six geopolitical zones have been mandated to carry out massive consultation to identify the target group.
Hajiya Abdullahi who praised the resilience of women, stated that the aim of the programmes was to address the bottle necks faced by women in trade and ensuring that they get access to finance to boost their businesses.
