Kebbi State gets 21 new LGA Chairmen

Governor Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi state has sworn- in the twenty-one elected Local Governments Council Chairmen and their Deputies.

Speaking shortly after administering the oath of office to the newly elected Chairmen, Governor Bagudu charged them to be dedicated, hard-working, honest, and fair and as well take their local governments as their constituencies.

He advised the Council Chairmen to work for the benefit of all irrespective of any political party.

The Governor admonished the Council Chairmen to listen to the voices of everybody, including those who elected them and otherwise saying, and better the lives of youths and the people living with the disability for the development of the society.

Governor Bagudu commended the State Independent Electoral Commission ( KESIEC), Security, Media, Political parties as well as the electorates for the peaceful election conducted across the state.

Responding on behalf of the newly sworn Council Chairmen, Chairman of Birnin Kebbi local Government Area, Aminu Sarkin Fada, thanked the governor for his support which according to him was instrumental to their success.

He expressed appreciation to APC stakeholders who were involved in making sure they emerged as the APC candidates as well as the electorates for enduring to vote them into office.

He assured the governor of the unflinching resolve of the newly elected Chairmen to support him in moving Kebbi State forward.

Sixteen women were elected as Councilors in local government areas across the state.
