A suspended Deputy Commissioner of Police, DCP Abba Kyari has been declared wanted by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) for alleged links to an international drug gang.
NDLEA spokesperson, Femi Babafemi stated this during a press conference held at the organisation’s headquarters in Abuja on Monday.
This comes only days after the Police Service Commission directed the police department to expedite its probe into the $1.1 million fraud scheme involving Kyari and an Instagram sensation known as Hushpuppi.
Kyari was the officer in charge of the Inspector-General of Police Intelligence Response Team, until his suspension.
