The Federal Government says it will not falter in developing effective platforms to mitigate the threats to the digital ecosystem both within and outside the the country.
Director-General, National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) Kashifu Abdullahi stated this at a stakeholders engagement on creating opportunities, breaking boundaries towards digitalisation and entrepreneurial evolution.
Mr Abdullahi said NITDA’s Strategic Roadmap and Action Plan (SRAP) 2021-2024 has been conceived to provide direction for the organisation while ensuring the nation’s cyber space is safe and other new challenges are kept at bay.
The Director-General said the Federal Government is exploring opportunities in the Digital sector by building the capacity of the citizens on various Digital ICT applications, programmes and the sector’s legal frameworks and instruments.
Mr Abdullahi said the agency has cautiously decentralised its operations to cover new grounds in the global Digital ICT sector.
The National Digital Economic Developmnt Strategic Plan (NDEPS) has an 8 point strategy to reposition the nation’s digital economy and ICT sector for rapid economic growth.
