Gunmen kidnap siblings in Ogun, demand ₦15m

20-year-old Esther Kehinde, and 15-year-old David Kehinde have been abducted by suspected kidnappers from their house at Oremeji Street, Joga-Orile Area, Yewa-North Local Government, Ogun State.

The siblings were said to be washing their school uniforms at about 9 O’clock on Tuesday when the kidnappers struck.

An aged man whose identity could not be ascertained reportedly fainted after he was attacked by the kidnapers who abducted siblings.

A witness whose house was behind the scene disclosed that an attempt by the aged man to resist the gun-welding kidnappers failed as he was hit on the head which made him pass out immediately.

It was however gathered that the kidnappers contacted the family of the children 12 hours after the kidnap, requesting the sum of ₦15 million as ransom.

Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Abimbola Oyeyemi, confirmed the incident, saying the police were on top of the matter.
