Zamfara donates vehicles to Niger republic for border surveillance

Zamfara State Government has donated 5 Toyota Hilux vehicles to Niger Republic to further strengthen border surveillance.

This comes 3 months after Zamfara State Governor Bello Mohammed Matawalle visited Niger Republic to seek more collaboration in fighting banditry bedevilling the two countries where he promised to donate the vehicles.

While handing over the vehicles to governor of Maradi region in Niger Republic Alhaji Abubakar Shua’ibu, Matawalle extolled the doggedness of Nigerien army in fighting banditry and promised continuous support to them.

He stressed that Nigeria and Niger Republic maintained strong diplomatic relations over the years.

The Governor of Maradi region in Niger Republic Alhaji Abubakar Shua’ibu, thanked Zamfara state government for donating the vehicles and gave assurance of a productive collaboration to address the security threat affecting both nations.
