The House of Representatives has demanded immediate implementation of the recommendations from the security summit conducted recently as part of measures to end insecurity in the country.
The House also advocated more synergy between the nation’s security agencies to make the country more secure.
These were part of the numerous resolutions reached while adopting a motion under matters of urgent national importance on the spate of attacks on many communities of Kaduna State.
The sponsor of the motion, Balarabe Shehu from Kaduna State expressed concern that despite numerous Security Agencies in the State, communities within the State continue to witness series of attacks and displacement.
Other members who contributed described the motion as touching, warning that if stringent measures were not adopted, Nigerians would not have any option but to defend themselves.
The House later adjourned early due to what they described as the worsening security situation in the country, making the motion the only item treated at plenary for the day.
