Abuja – Kaduna train attack: KCCI calls for national prayers

The Kano Concerned Citizens Initiative – KCCI – has called on Nigerians to collectively pray for divine deliverance from the multifarious security challenges currently bedeviling the country.

The Chairman of KCCI and Sarkin Shanu of Kano, Alhaji Shehu Muhammed, made the call when he lead members of the organisation’s Executive Committee when they paid sympathy and condolence visits to families of Kano citizens caught out in the Monday night attack by bandits on the Kaduna bound train from Abuja.

Sarkin Shanun Kano maintained that the train attack resulted in deaths, destruction and abduction of a yet to be determined number of people, including citizens of Kano.

The KCCI Chairman also pleaded with authorities to do all they can to end banditry and kidnapping in the country.

Alhaji Shehu Muhammed said that KCCI is organising special prayer sessions for the safe release of those abducted and repose of the souls of those who died.
