Kaduna State Government has received luggages and other belongings of some passengers who were on the Abuja-Kaduna train which was attacked by terrorists.
A statement by the State Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan says
the items were handed over to the State Government by the Military, who had gathered the items during search operations.
It says Governor Nasiru El-Rufa’i expressed appreciation to the Military and commended them for their careful handling and documentation of the items, comprising over 100 pieces of luggage.
According to the statement, nine persons had already collected their items after presenting proof at the point of recovery.
The statement explains that, the remaining belongings, received with a detailed inventory, will be carefully stored.
It adds that, a system for the receipt of claimed items will be communicated to the public subsequently.
