Confront injustice through mediation practice – Ambassador

A peace advocate and founder , Mediation Training Institute (MTI), Ambassador Segun Ogunyannwo wants the Federal Government to explore the use of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) in solving the mounting security challenges confronting the country instead of the exclusive use of force.

Ambassador Ogunyannwo, who made the remarks while launching the International Day of appreciation in Abuja, said there was need to understand and appreciate the various backgrounds of citizens in the Nigerian project to foster national stability.

He advocated a culture of appreciation amongst Nigerians as a way of deflecting from the high rate of bitterness and bad blood.

A children affairs writer, Clementina Okolo, who distributed books to journalists and other participants at the event, urged Nigerians to embrace peaceful coexistence for the future of the Nigerian child.

The International Day of appreciation is now to be commemorated annually.
