Lawmaker charges Muslims to pray for Nigeria

Speaker, Kano state house of assembly, Alhaji Hamisu Ibrahim Chidari has charged Muslims to intensify prayers for peaceful coexistance and economic development of the nation.

In a statement signed by director press and public affairs,Kano state house of assembly,Malam Uba Abdullahi and made available to Radio Nigeria in Kano, the speaker described Ramadan as a sacred month.

As such, he said, there was the urgent need for the Muslim faithful to seek for blessings and forgiveness as well as divine intervention on problems bedeviling the country.

Alhaji Chidari commended the people of the state, especially the emirate councils, for their commitment and dedication in moving the state forward.

He reaffirmed the state governments readiness in mapping out policies and programmes aimed at improving the standard of living of the people.

Similarly, the clerk and head of legislative services, Kano state house of Assembly,Alhaji Garba Bako Gezawa has expressed satisfaction with the cordial relationship between the executive and legislative arms of government in the state.

Alhaji Gezawa said the dedication of the legislators in making laws that touch the lives of the people is a clear indication of unity and progress within the state and entire nation.
