The Commandant of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in kano State, Adamu Idris Zakof has charged its new intakes to be dedicated and committed in the discharge of their assigned responsibilities.
Commandant Zakof was speaking at the inaugural training exercise of the 2019 recruits of the NSCDC, which took place today at the Command’s headquarters in Kano.
Addressing the new intakes, the Commandant enjoined them to be attentive throughout the training exercise and to show tremendous respect for the instructors.
“I urge you to be self-disciplined officers and grab this job the same way you hold your life in high esteem. Don’t forget that millions outside are looking for the same opportunity,” he told the new intakes.
“So, sacrifice all that you’ve for this job.”
He pointed out that the management was prepared to help them to become refined and Gallant officers at the end of the training, ridding them of what he described as “the civilian mentality”.
Earlier at a muster parade, Commandant Zakof commended the management team for keeping the Command vibrant, Adding that the NSCDC Controller-General had, during the quarterly meeting of CG’s held in Abuja, assured him that the salary arrears of the personnel would be paid as soon as possible.
