Gunmen abduct 4 students in Zamfara

Gunmen on Wednesday invaded Tsafe town, Zamfara and abducted 5 Students of the State College of Health Sciences and Technology.

The abducted students were in their off-campus Hostel around the college where the gunmen besieged and abducted 5 students including 3 females and 2 Males.

Radio Nigeria has reliably gathered that One female student, Jamila Salisu escaped from the kidnappers and she is receiving medical attention in a health facility in the state.

According to the Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Zamfara State Police Command SP Mohammed Shehu, the students were abducted in their rented hostels not in the school.

The PPRO explained that the commissioner of Police CP Ayuba Elkana has deployed tactical operatives to rescue the abductees.

Receiving the report, security operatives chased the kidnappers, one of the five abducted students escaped from the bandits but the kidnappers fled with the other four victims”, Shehu said.

The PPRO said the police has deployed a search and rescue team mandated to work in synergy with the military to ensure the safe rescue of the abducted students.

The four students in captivity include 2 male and 2 female students.

Recently, Tsafe town has been facing a lot of bandits attacks.
