South-West Progressives youths hold rally for Tinubu

Youths under the umbrella of Progressive Youths of South-West have declared their support for the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu’s bid to become the next President come 2023.

The Youths from all the states in the South-west region converged on the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan Lagos in large numbers to drum support for Asiwaju Tinubu’s presidential aspiration.

In an opening remark, Lagos APC Youth Leader, Muritala Seriki, who spoke alongside his counterparts from Oyo, Ogun,Osun, Ekiti, Ondo and the APC National Youth Leader, Dayo Israel and other leaders of  APC Ethnic groups, declared that it was the belief of the youths that Asiwaju Bola Tinubu can take the nation to greater heights, based on his antecedents as former Governor of Lagos State and a detribalised Nigerian.

Thanking the youths for their “grand gesture”, Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu assured his audience that youths would continue to be identified as critical stakeholders.

He enjoined all delegates to the APC Primary to exercise their franchise wisely.

On his part, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, who urged all and sundry to register and revalidate their Permanent Voter Cards, expressed gratitude to the youths for supporting his aspiration and urged them to have what he called the “You can do” attitude.

The event was attended by the Lagos State Deputy Governor, Dr Obafemi Hamzat, members of the National and State Houses of Assembly in the South-West and APC Party chieftains.
