IPAC calls for the scrapping of state electoral commissions

The Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC) has urged Christians to emulate the life of Jesus as exemplified in His humility and Sacrifice to humanity.

In a statement on Easter signed by IPAC’s National Organising Secretary, Comrade Egbeola Martins, it described the death and resurrection of Jesus as the true essence of Christianity.

The Council enjoined Christians and Nigerians in general to pray for peace, unity and good governance in the country.

On the forthcoming 2023 general election, IPAC urged political parties and their candidates to eschew politics of bitterness and embrace issue-based campaigns before the 2023 general election.

The statement urged the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to provide a level-playing field for all the candidates during elections.

It called for the scrapping of the State Independent Electoral Commissions (SIEC) for what it described as being “neither Independent nor Credible”.
