Kwankwaso joins 2023 Presidential race

Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso has formally declared his intention to run for the 2023 presidential election under the platform of New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP).

Senator Kwankwaso, a two-term governor of Kano State, made the declaration in Abuja after purchasing Expression of Interest form.

Senator Kwankwaso, also a Former defence Minister, said he decided to run under the platform of NNPP because the party’s ideology was in line with his aspiration and that of most Nigerians.

The Senator urged Nigerians to support NNPP in order to enable the citizens realise the Nigeria of their dreams.

It was in the best interest of Nigerians, he said, if the electorate ensured that the party became victorious at all levels in the 2023 elections.

He called the NNPP a  “progressive party”, and that if given the opportunity to govern the country, it would change the landscape of the country in the area of Unity, Security, Socio-economic development and education.
